We are excited to release yet another feature that further automates the Wooly and Shopify connection. This update gives companies an even easier way to unify and streamline both their ambassador and ecommerce initiatives.

Over the years, the ability to interact with consumers has dramatically changed with online selling. Instead of brick-and-mortar shops, numerous retailers now prioritize ecommerce software. And when it comes to ecommerce software, Shopify is a popular option. Shopify is also well known for its selection of integrations with third-party apps. Speaking of other applications, the Wooly ambassador marketing platform natively integrates with Shopify.

The Ubiquitous Digital Tag

What is a tag?

A tag is a digital label that signifies a distinct group or category. Most commonly, tags are identifiers that data owners generate to mark and provide structure. 

Tags are extremely useful for classifying things like online information, ownership, and actions. For example, we tag photos, mark posts, and denote identification.

How Do Shopify Tags Work?

Automatic Tags in Shopify

Manually generating tags in Shopify is pretty straightforward, but the real power comes when tags are automated. 

Within Wooly, a tag is automatically created for each of your programs.  This tag, referred to as the Program Key, is used to identify your program members in 3rd party applications, such as Shopify and Klaviyo.

To use this new feature with Shopify, simply enable Shopify Tags in your program's settings. Wooly will sync all program members to their Shopify customer records by adding the program key as a Shopify tag.

Why Use Shopify Tags?
