R/O/C Crew Ambassador Privacy Notice 

On AG, Pfingstweidstrasse 106, 8005 Zurich, a Swiss Corporation (“Aktiengesellschaft”) or the respective On group company, which according to the respective data protection laws applicable to you is responsible for the processing of your personal information (hereinafter referred to as "On" or "we/us") is committed to responsibly handling your personal information. This privacy notice (the "Privacy Notice") explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect your personal information, and certain rights you may have relating to such use. We reserve the right to change or modify any of the terms and conditions contained in this Privacy Notice at any time and at our sole discretion. To the extent permitted by law, any changes or modification will be effective immediately upon posting of the revisions on our website(s) without further notice. 

What types of personal information we collect 

Personal information is data that can be used to directly or indirectly identify you (the "Personal Information"). We collect the Personal Information that we require in order to process your R/O/C Crew Ambassador application. We collect additional Personal Information that you voluntarily provide to us for the purpose of processing your application. The Personal Information we collect includes, but is not limited to, your name, e-mail address, phone number, location, social media profiles, date of birth, shoe and clothing size, information about your running habits and further information that we may require in order to evaluate your application. 

How we use your Personal Information 

Your Personal Information will be processed to assess your suitability to join the R/O/C Crew and/or other related activities. We may, for example, use your information to contact you, schedule calls and to conduct evaluations of your profile. 

Any Personal Information you provide to On as part of the application process may also be used to: (i) process your application for other opportunities that may arise at On (ii) may be retained in our database (“Database”) so that our teams may contact you for consideration of similar positions that may arise in the future. 

Additionally, if your application is successful, we may use your Personal Information to onboard you as part of our R/O/C Crew in line with our standard processes.

Lastly, certain data may be collected on a voluntary basis to further assist with our efforts related to the implementation and measurement of our diversity and inclusion efforts. You can rest assured that your responses will be kept confidential and will only be further shared (i) to fulfil the aforementioned purpose, (ii) to the extent that there is a lawful basis for doing so and/or (iii) to comply with applicable legal requirements. Your application will not be impacted in any way by your responses or your decision not to provide any responses to these questions. 

Our Basis for using your Personal Information 

When processing your Personal Information for the purposes described herein, we rely on your consent to this Privacy Notice, our legitimate interests in the recruitment, evaluation and selection of candidates or another ground for lawful processing of your Personal Information under the applicable laws and regulations. 

How we might share your Personal Information 

We may disclose your Personal Information for the purposes as laid out herein to the following parties: 

  • On affiliated companies around the world to contact you about becoming an Ambassador. Due to our international company and management structure your Personal Information can also be accessed by On personnel that may be based in locations other than the country in which the legal entity you applied for is located. 
  • Third party service providers, such as service providers that we contract as part of our normal business operations to support our operations, tools for application management, cloud service provider for the storage of data, scheduling tools to arrange calls, travel tools or softwares to arrange for transport and/or accommodation and/or other tools for recruitment related activities as the case may be. 
  • Other third parties pursuant to a court order or request of any governmental authority or regulator or as required by law or regulation. 

On is a global company and as a result, the above-mentioned entities may be located in countries/regions that do not provide a level of data protection comparable to the level in your home country. In the scenario where we share personal data to jurisdictions that do not offer an adequate level of data protection, we impose appropriate contractual obligations and standards in compliance with the relevant data protection principles. 

How long we keep your Personal Information 

Your Personal Information will be retained by On for as long as is necessary to (i) evaluate your application to become a R/O/C Crew Ambassador, (ii) to meet the purposes for which the Personal Information was collected and/or (iii) for the periods specified by applicable legal requirements. 

If your application at On is unsuccessful, your profile will be added to Database, so that we may contact you about a potential role in the future. Your profile will be kept in our Database for a period of two years. 

In certain cases, special retention obligations may apply due to legal requirements, in which case your Personal Information may be kept longer. 

How we protect Personal Information 

We restrict the use and access to your Personal Information to those who have an absolute need-to-know. We maintain appropriate technical, physical and organisational measures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, loss or destruction in accordance with applicable data protection and security laws. 

As with all online mediums, the storage and transmission of electronic information is unfortunately not always completely secure. Although we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of information stored on our or our vendors’ servers or transmitted via email; you transmit Personal Information to us at your own risk. 

Your Rights 

You have the right to know what Personal Information we process about you and may request a copy. You are also entitled to have incorrect or incomplete Personal Information about you corrected or completed and you may ask us to delete your Personal Information. You can also object to certain Personal Information about you being processed and request that processing be limited. Please note that the limitation or deletion of your Personal Information may mean that we will be unable to provide the services and information described above. You also have the right to receive your Personal Information in a machine-readable format and have the information transferred to another party responsible for data processing. You also have the right to contact the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.
